EPISODE 19

10,000 Cases, Zero Complications, and an Exit Plan

with Dr. Robert Setari

Most physicians know when to start. Few know when to stop, step back, or hand the keys to someone they trained. Dr. Robert Setari has completed nearly 10,000 body contouring cases with zero major complications, and he’s now thinking carefully about what comes next.

In this second conversation, he and Dr. Mulholland shift from building to running, and eventually exiting. You’ll hear how he evaluates new technology using two non-negotiable criteria, why he won’t offer a device he wouldn’t use on a family member, and how the GLP-1 wave is quietly creating the next generation of body contouring patients.

You’ll also get his take on hiring for heart over credentials, why he runs a no-commission, no-tipping office, and why his next venture, psychedelic psychiatry and TMS mental health centers, may be his most disruptive move yet. This episode is for the clinician building something meant to outlast them.
